St. Helena Island woman located safe, law enforcement confirms
BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - [UPDATE] The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said 34-year-old Renesha Loraine Hendrix was located safe.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is trying to confirm the well-being of 34-year-old Renesha Loraine Hendrix of St. Helena Island.
Law enforcement said Hendrix was reported missing by family members on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Since that time, there have been reports from members of the public, as well as Sheriff’s Office deputies, of a woman believed to be Hendrix walking along Sea Island Parkway.
Deputies say they have not been able to make contact with her, despite multiple sightings.
Hendrix is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall.
“The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of all residents and appreciates the community’s assistance in helping locate Hendrix and ensure she is safe,” wrote the sheriff’s office in a social media post.
