Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole heading to Savannah for Bandana Burger pop-up

by Shakuria Smith

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The founder of the nationally recognized Slutty Vegan brand is coming to Savannah for a one-day pop-up this weekend.

Bandana Burger will host Pinky Cole on Sunday at its Habersham Village location, bringing together two entrepreneurs whose careers began with late-night pop-ups and a shared belief in community.

Bandana Burger was founded by William LaFlower as a late-night pop-up in downtown Savannah before building a loyal following during a 14-month run inside the Starland District bar The Wormhole. The restaurant now operates from its brick-and-mortar location in Habersham Village, with LaFlower crediting his wife, A’Nia, his brothers Daniel and Matthew Hoffman, and his grandmother Rosemarie’s Bronx cooking roots for helping shape and grow the brand.

LaFlower first met Cole years ago in Atlanta while she was building what would become Slutty Vegan. Through The BelFlower Group, a consulting company he co-founded with Larry Belton, the team later became the brand’s first consultants.

LaFlower said bringing Slutty Vegan to Savannah feels like introducing a friend to family, adding the city supported Bandana Burger from the beginning. He says the collaboration highlights the relationships and hustle that drive the restaurant industry.

“At Bandana Burger we say ‘Good in Every Hood,’” LaFlower said. “It means recognizing the hustle in others and celebrating people bold enough to build something from nothing.”
