Shots fired near Savannah State University residence hall
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Shots were fired in the area of the Bostic Hall parking lot early Sunday morning, according to the Savannah State University Department of Public Safety.
The alert was sent out around 2:20 a.m.
According to a safety alert, the suspect is a Black male wearing all black who was last seen traveling north on foot toward the President’s gate near Thunderbolt.
No injuries or property damage have been confirmed at this time.
Surrounding agencies have been notified to be on the lookout for the suspect.
Public safety officials said there are no ongoing threats at this time. The Savannah Police Department will assist by having additional units patrol throughout the campus to ensure safety.
