Seth Clark suspends campaign for GA Lieutenant Governor

by WTOC Staff

MACON, Ga. (WTOC) - Seth Clark announced he is suspending his campaign for Lieutenant Governor.

“Recently, personal circumstances have shifted in ways that make the year ahead increasingly uncertain,” Clark said. “After careful reflection, I’ve concluded that my most immediate calling is to my family. And as such, I cannot devote the time and focus that a campaign of this scope requires, and that Georgians deserve.”

He announced his candidacy in January before suspending his campaign in February.

“I am profoundly thankful to everyone who stepped forward — not simply in support of a candidate, but in service to their neighbors and communities,” Clark said. “That commitment to making people’s lives a little easier, to building a politics rooted in shared responsibility toward one another, is what inspired this campaign in the first place. There is a sacredness to that connection to your neighbor, and I urge everyone to honor it, as it is undoubtedly the antidote to these troubling times.”

He said he continues to believe in leadership grounded in compassion, mutual respect, and a recognition of our shared humanity.

“I will continue to live out those values and support candidates and causes that are centered in them — just not as a candidate this year.”

In a press release, Seth Clark announced the campaign will formally wind down operations over the next several weeks.
