CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance to identify a second suspect in an aggravated stalking and criminal trespassing investigation at the View of Oglethorpe apartment complex.

The sheriff’s office released photographs of the new suspect, asking for help identifying an individual connected to the ongoing investigation.

Public assistance requested to identify individual in View of Oglethorpe investigation

Anyone with information that may lead to the identification or arrest of this suspect should contact the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit at 912-644-5136. Tips may be provided confidentially, and the sheriff’s office said public assistance is vital in helping keep the community safe.

The request for help identifying a second suspect comes after deputies arrested 24-year-old Nathaniel Crawford on charges of attempted kidnapping, stalking, and criminal trespass in what authorities called a stranger-on-stranger incident. Crawford was arrested January 27, 2026, following an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit.

Authorities believe Crawford is a serial stalker whose behavior had been escalating and posed a significant public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing as deputies work to identify additional victims and suspects.

The sheriff’s office continues to urge women in the community to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
