Second Saturday launches in Downtown Statesboro with shopping, dining, and local experiences

STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - A new monthly event series is set to bring the community together in Downtown Statesboro.

The Merchants Association of Downtown Statesboro is launching “Second Saturday Statesboro,” an ongoing event designed to encourage people to shop, dine, and explore local businesses.

The first event is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, starting at 9 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. Organizers say visitors can expect sidewalk sales, in-store promotions, extended hours, and pop-up experiences across participating businesses.

Shoppers are encouraged to begin their day at the Statesboro Main Street Farmers Market on South Main Street before making their way through downtown.

Organizers say the goal is to create a welcoming monthly experience that supports small businesses, featuring boutiques, restaurants, salons, and more.
