Second Harvest announces 2026 summer meal sites across Coastal Georgia
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia has announced its enrolled locations for the 2026 Summer Food Service Program, also known as Happy Helpings.
The program will provide free meals to eligible children at multiple sites throughout Coastal Georgia during the summer months. Meal locations will operate in Chatham, Effingham, Evans and Long counties.
According to the organization, participating sites include schools, camps and recreation programs throughout the region, with meal service dates beginning June 1.
Some of the listed locations include:
- Godley Station K-8 School
- Groves High School
- Savannah High School
- Jenkins High School
- Windsor Forest High School
- Coastal Middle School
- Garden City Summer Camp
- Carver Heights Therapeutic Recreation
- YMCA Long County Summer Camp at Smiley Elementary
Officials say meals will be provided free of charge to all eligible children. The organization also noted that children in households receiving SNAP, TANF or FDPIR benefits automatically qualify for free meals.
