Scheffler, Spieth, Thomas headline RBC Heritage field

HILTON HEAD, Sc. (WTOC) - Some of the biggest names in golf are set to compete in this year’s RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing on Hilton Head Island.

Tournament organizers say the limited-field PGA TOUR event will feature top-ranked players including Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Matt Fitzpatrick when it returns to Harbour Town Golf Links April 13 through 19.

Defending champion Justin Thomas is coming off a strong return to form after winning last year’s RBC Heritage in a playoff. The victory marked his first win in nearly three years. Thomas, a two-time major champion, is currently ranked 14th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is also set to compete. Scheffler, who won the RBC Heritage in 2024, has been dominant on the PGA TOUR, earning multiple Player of the Year honors and more than 20 career wins.

Matt Fitzpatrick, the 2023 RBC Heritage champion, will return after recently earning another PGA TOUR victory. Fitzpatrick has long-standing ties to Harbour Town and has made more than 10 appearances at the event.

Three-time major champion Jordan Spieth is also among the headliners. Spieth won the RBC Heritage in 2022 and continues to be a fan favorite at Harbour Town.

The RBC Heritage is one of the PGA TOUR’s signature events, known for drawing elite fields and large crowds to Hilton Head each spring.
