Savannah man indicted on murder charges for 2023 overdose death

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - This week, a Savannah man was indicted on murder charges for allegedly providing drugs to a man, causing him to overdose.

ERIC BRADLEY STRONG, 43

43-year-old Eric Bradley Strong is being charged with felony murder, aggravated involuntary manslaughter, 2x possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, criminal attempt to purchase marijuana, and use of a communication device in the commission of a felony.

The indictment from the grand jury reveals that on either August 23rd or 24th of 2023, Strong allegedly sold meth and fentanyl to Bobby Hughes, which led to his death.

It also reports that Strong looked to purchase $115 in marijuana during the drug transaction from Hughes.

The aggravated charge alleges that Strong told Hughes the substance was a controlled substance, but actually contained fentanyl.

He has many past arrests for drug-related offenses, dating back to 1999.

He’s being held on no bond in the Chatham County jail still.
