Savannah businessman announces run for Chatham County Commission
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah businessman announced he will run for Chatham County Commission District 4.
Joe Welch said he wants to help fight crime, keep costs down for taxpayers and be a voice for those who feel their voices are no longer being heard.
“I’m running for Chatham County Commission because I believe people of the 4th district deserve strong common sense leadership that will stand up for them,” Welch said. “And a leader who will not only listen but will definitely respond.”
Welch is running for the seat recently vacated by Chatham County Commissioner Pat Farrell, who is running for Congress. A special election will be held on May 19.
