Savannah State prepares to honor more than 1,800 students and faculty at annual convocation

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah State University will celebrate academic excellence during its annual Honors Convocation on April 9.

The ceremony is set for 9:30 a.m. inside Tiger Arena on the university’s campus.

More than 1,800 students and faculty members will be recognized for their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to success.

The event highlights some of the university’s highest-performing students, along with faculty members who have made an impact through teaching and mentorship.

University leaders say the convocation is a long-standing tradition that reflects the pride and excellence of Tiger Nation.
