Savannah Southern Half Marathon coming this November

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - This November, the Savannah Southern Half Marathon will be running through the city for the first time.

The event is on November 14 and will offer two distances, a half marathon and a 5K. There will be virtual participation options for both distances.

The course will start at Forsyth Park and lead its participants on a tour through Savannah, ending at Daffin Park with a finish festival. The festival will feature local musicians, food and good company, event coordinators said.

Participants will have access to a free shuttle from the finish festival to Downtown Savannah to continue celebrations. Runners also have the opportunity to become race ambassadors. Ambassadors will enjoy VIP perks, connections with partner brands and receive insider race day activities.

The Savannah Southern Half Marathon partnered with the American Cancer Society, Fleet Feet, Visit Savannah and the Savannah Area Chamber.
