Savannah Police investigating shooting that left one woman injured on Wheaton St.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 700 block of Wheaton St. that left one female injured Friday night.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020, or use the SPD mobile app to remain anonymous.

In a separate incident, there is a heavy police presence on Abercorn Street near the Lucas Theatre.

WTOC crews at the scene observed yellow tape in the area, but authorities have not yet confirmed what happened there.
