Savannah Police investigating fatal shooting on Compton Road

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday night.

Officers responded shortly before 9:30 p.m. to a shooting on Compton Road.

SPD has responded to a shooting in the 5000 block of Compton Rd. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.

When they arrived on scene, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Lifesaving measures were performed, but the victim died on scene from his injuries.

Officials say no arrests have been made, and this investigation is ongoing.

The Chatham County District Attorney’s Office posted on their social media Sunday morning, asking the public to speak up and report what they may have seen or heard in the area Saturday night.
