Savannah Free Market celebrates first anniversary with goods, services for residents
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Free Market is offering a space for residents to receive needed goods and services Saturday.
The Free Market is a monthly “buy nothing, sell nothing” market happening Saturday, Nov. 15 at Daffin Park on the corner of Washington Ave. and Warring Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The market receives donated items including non-perishable foods, appliances and harm reduction supplies to redistribute to residents who need them.
The Savannah Free Market is also celebrating its one-year anniversary on Nov. 15, after organizers sought to create a space for residents to offer acts of kindness and foster community.
The market will offer resources like DIY car repair and notary services. Workshops include a rights workshop with a lawyer, an open mic and a talk about human rights in Sudan.

The event is designed to be welcoming to all. More information about the market can be found on the Savannah Free Market Instagram page.
