Savannah-Chatham schools warn parents of fraudulent calls
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is alerting parents about fraudulent phone calls claiming to be from the Board of Education Police Department.
In an email sent to parents, the district said the calls are not legitimate and are not official communication from SCCPSS.
The district is working to determine where the calls originated and wanted to assure families there are no known dangers at any schools.
In the case of a real emergency, correspondence would come directly from schools or the district.
