SPD says they are searching for an escaped detainee
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Police Department posted on social media Saturday afternoon asking for help locating an escaped detainee, Stanley A. Smith, 24.
SPD says Smith escaped from officers at the hospital while in custody. Reports said Smith was last seen eastbound on E. 67th Street toward the canal in Savannah.
Officers confirmed Smith was last seen wearing a camouflage hoodie, black sweatpants, and black socks, with no shoes.
Anyone who sees Smith or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately. Tips can also be submitted to CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or through the SPD mobile app.
