SPD investigates death after fatal crash on Eisenhower Dr

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit says they are investigating a fatal crash at Eisenhower Dr. and Waters Ave. that occurred on Feb. 13, resulting in the death of an adult male pedestrian.

Officers said they responded to the scene at around 7:10 p.m. and discovered the victim. They said the victim was transported to Memorial Health Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

SPD reported that the initial investigation showed the pedestrian was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a car and the driver remained on scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
