SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - SNAP benefits cuts across Georgia will impact over 1 million Georgians starting Saturday. In Savannah, public officials and community members are coming together to support those in need.

Feed the Hungry has partnered with several organizations to kick off an emergency drive-through food giveaway.

“Yes, this is Rep. Gilliard. I’ll be there. Remember we’re stronger together. Let’s do this,” said the representative.

The giveaway will provide a combination of fresh produce and hot meals to different locations around Chatham County.
