Rockin’ Out Alzheimer’s concert returning to Statesboro after record-breaking fundraiser
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Rockin’ Out Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation is preparing for its 13th annual fundraising concert later this summer in Statesboro.
The event is scheduled for Friday, July 31, at The Blue Room and will feature Wanted, a Bon Jovi tribute band.
Organizers say last year’s sold-out concert raised a record-breaking $132,000 to support Alzheimer’s awareness, caregiver assistance and nursing scholarships across Southeast Georgia.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m.
Foundation leaders say all proceeds from the event will stay within the community to help fund caregiver support services, educational resources and nursing scholarships at Georgia Southern University and Ogeechee Technical College.

Since launching in 2012, the nonprofit organization has raised more than $1.3 million through concerts and year-round programs, including its Caring Closet initiative for caregivers and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals interested in supporting the organization’s mission.
Tickets and additional information are available through the foundation’s website.
