Richmond Hill hosts first-ever Wrestle Scream fundraising event
RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - Wrestlers will hit the ring for the first-ever Wrestle Scream event in Richmond Hill.
The Richmond Hill Fire Department is partnering with American Premier Wrestling for the family-friendly event on Oct. 17. It will feature eight matches including a women’s championship bout and a tag-team main event with wrestlers from around the region.
Wrestle Scream is also a fundraiser for the department’s charitable initiative, Operation Presents under the Tree, which is now a year-round effort.
“We’re able to help families over multiple causes and initiatives, including pediatric cancer,” Richmond Hill Fire Chief Brendon Greene said. “We’ve been able to help families moving into homes that need furniture. We’ve been able to help with utility bills. Our number one goal at the end of the day is to give back to our community. We have an absolutely tremendous community and we like to give back. We do that with the Spring Fling and now Wrestle Scream!”
Daybreak anchor Kyle Jordan is guest emcee for the event.
Doors open at Richmond Hill City Center in J.F. Gregory Park at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door and a family four-pack is $50. Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/WrestleScream25.
