Richmond Hill PD says ‘no credible threats’ after responding to multiple bomb threats throughout the city Thursday

RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - Law enforcement is looking to identify the individual(s) responsible for multiple bomb threats throughout the City of Richmond Hill on Thursday.

After investigating multiple bomb threats throughout the city, Richmond Hill Police said “no credible threats were found.”

“We extend a huge thank you to the Bryan County EMA, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Stewart EOD for their swift assistance and expertise. The safety of our residents and businesses is our top priority. We are currently working with several agencies to identify the individual(s) responsible for these threats,” wrote the Richmond Hill Police Department.

Richmond Hill Police told WTOC they increased police presence at various schools in the area Thursday afternoon due to “multiple threats.” A message from the school district was then sent to parents. It reads “There is no credible threat at any Bryan County School at this time. We apologize for any misinformation you may have received (social media, news agencies, etc.).”

Richmond Hill Police said they are working with multiple agencies to identify the person(s) responsible for these threats.
