Richmond Hill Fire Department’s Spring Fling returns with duck race, live entertainment and family fun
RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - A popular Richmond Hill tradition is making its return this month.
The City of Richmond Hill Fire Department and Auxiliary, in partnership with the City of Richmond Hill, will host the 8th Annual Spring Fling on Saturday, April 18, at J.F. Gregory Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers say the free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, food trucks, more than 40 vendors, a classic car show, inflatable attractions, trackless train rides and a dunk tank featuring local leaders.
Also returning is the 3rd Annual Duck Race, where 1,500 rubber ducks will race down the park lagoon for prizes, including a $500 cash prize for the first-place duck and gift cards for 20 additional winners.
Ducks can be purchased for $5 online and will also be available at the event.
The entertainment lineup includes performances from local schools, dance groups, athletes and worship teams throughout the day, leading up to the duck race at 3:30 p.m.
Organizers say all net proceeds will benefit Operation Presents Under the Tree, the fire department’s charitable initiative supporting local families in need.
