Resident injured in house fire in the 1100 block of East Gwinnett St. Thursday morning
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One person is injured and will be displaced after a house fire Thursday morning.
Savannah Fire said at approximately 6:52 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 1100 block of East Gwinnett Street for a residential structure fire. Crews were met with heavy smoke and flames when they got to the scene.
Fire officials said the fire was under control at 7:03 a.m. and was declared out at 7:07 a.m. One resident is being transported by EMS with minor injuries and will be displaced, according to Savannah Fire.
