Registration closes for CERT Basic Training Program
BEAUFORT COUNTY, Sc. (WTOC) - UPDATE: The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has closed registration for the fall session of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Program. A waitlist has been started due to high demand.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has opened registration for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Program.
This program is meant to provide residents with self-sufficiency in the event of a disaster. Those who participate will learn skills to help them provide emergency assistance to their families and neighbors.
CERT classes are free and held at various times throughout the year.
Fall classes will be held at Hilton Head Fire Rescue at 40 Summit Drive on Hilton Head Island.
Below are the days and times for the classes:
- Tuesday, November 4 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Thursday, November 6 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 12 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Thursday, November 13 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, November 15 | 8 a.m. until the end of the exercise
