Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon and 5K takes runners through the Hostess City
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Runners completed the Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon and 5K Saturday.
The route took runners past iconic Savannah sights, including the Cathedral Basilica and the Forrest Gump bench in Chippewa Square.
Keilyn Jones, participating for the first time, said it was great to see so many well-known landmarks in her city.
“Just seeing the views and actually like 13 miles of it and just kind of running around. We went from Daffin to Forsyth and all around. It was really cool. Beautiful,” Jones said.
The race finished in Forsyth Park.
