President Trump says Coca-Cola agrees to use real cane sugar in Coke

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - In a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump has said that Coca-Cola has agreed to use “REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States.”

In the post, he says “I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!”

What is Coca-Cola made of?

According to the official Coca-Cola website, the current ingredients for Coca-Cola in the United States are:

  • CARBONATED WATER
  • HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
  • CARAMEL COLOR
  • PHOSPHORIC ACID
  • NATURAL FLAVORS
  • CAFFEINE

No timeline was provided in the President’s message.

The Coca-Cola company also provided a statement to WTOC, saying “We appreciate President Trump’s enthusiasm for our iconic Coca-Cola brand. More details on new innovative offerings within our Coca-Cola product range will be shared soon.”

Coca-Cola is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The World of Coke museum is also located there.
