Port Wentworth reveals naming rights partner for Anchor Park amphitheater
PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. (WTOC) - The new amphitheater at Port Wentworth’s Anchor Park is one step closer to its summer debut. Tuesday afternoon, city leaders and the Oak View Group officially introduced the naming rights partner for the new venue.
VyStar Credit Union is the naming partner, and the venue’s name will be “Vystar Pavilion.”
“It’s not only a wonderful venue where we are going to have great music and great entertainment, but it’s also going to be open for community events which is what Vystar is all about,” said Dana Karzan, Chief Marketing Officer for Vystar Credit Union.
Once open, Vystar Pavilion promises to be the prime entertainment spot for music, tournaments and sports.
The more than 5,000 seat amphitheater at Anchor Park will also include a restaurant, retail shop, multi-use fields and a farmers market. The area will also include the Ice Cove, a training facility for the Savannah Ghost Pirates.
The City of Port Wentworth also expects 25 permanent jobs from the entertainment space.
