by Shakuria Smith

POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - Pooler residents are invited to celebrate Georgia Arbor Day by participating in the “Partner with Pooler to Plant a Tree for Free” event on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pooler Recreation Complex Football Stadium, 200 Preston Stokes Drive. Organizers say the initiative is designed to promote environmental awareness and encourage residents to plant trees within their community.

Residents may receive one free tree per household, selected to thrive in the local climate, with staff on site to answer planting and care questions. Trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, and specific varieties cannot be reserved or guaranteed.

The event will be held rain or shine. Trees will not be distributed prior to the official 9 a.m. start time.
