Pooler Police investigating shooting, two nearby schools placed under precautionary lockdown

POOLER, GA (WTOC) [UPDATE 2:30 P.M.] - Pooler Police are responding to a shooting on Weston Way.

No injuries have been reported as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a social media post by the Pooler Police Department.

West Chatham Elementary and Middle schools were placed under a precautionary lockdown due to the incident.

The incident remains active, and Pooler Police are asking residents to avoid the area.

WTOC has crews on scene, where there is a heavy presence from Pooler Police and the Pooler Fire Department near Rogers St. and Weston Way.
