Parksville Boat Ramp to temporarily close for repairs at Thurmond Lake
MCCORMICK COUNTY , Sc. (WTOC) - Boaters planning a trip to Thurmond Lake will need to adjust their plans this week.
The Parksville Boat Ramp in McCormick County, South Carolina, will temporarily close beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10, as crews complete a patch repair paving project.
Officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Project Office say the work is expected to take about two days, with the ramp anticipated to reopen by Feb. 12, 2026.
The repairs will address damage caused by Hurricane Helene and impacts related to cleanup efforts.
