Overturned vehicle in Reidsville traps person, 6 agencies and 1 helicopter respond
REIDSVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - On Saturday, September 13, 2025, around 11:30 AM, a multi-agency response involving Reidsville Fire Department, Tattnall County Fire, Smith State Prison Fire, Tattnall County EMS, Evans County Fire Rescue, and Claxton Fire Department was initiated.
According to the Reidsville Fire Department, the agencies were responding to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment located at Bubba Kennedy Road and Highway 169.
Officials say first responders arriving on the scene found a vehicle overturned, resulting in one patient being trapped inside with serious injuries, while another patient was found outside the vehicle with injuries.

The trapped patient was successfully extricated using specialized rescue tools.
The Reidsville Fire Department says Air Evac was contacted to prepare for a landing on Highway 169.
“We kindly request that you offer your thoughts and support to all parties involved,” the department wrote in a social media post. “We would like to extend our appreciation to Evans County Fire and Rescue and Claxton Fire for their invaluable assistance in supporting neighboring communities.”
The incident took place on the county line between Tattnall County and Evans County.
The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Department and Georgia State Patrol have initiated an investigation into the accident.
