One woman injured after Saturday morning shooting in Grays Hill

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTOC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning shooting in Grays Hill that left one woman injured.

Shortly after 2:40 a.m., on Saturday, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says they received reports of shots fired in the Conestoga Loop area of Grays Hill.

Deputies responded to the scene and were later notified that a female gunshot victim walked up to the fire station in Grays Hill seeking help.

A 31-year-old woman suffered from a gunshot wound according to deputies.

Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene and took the victim for treatment.

The circumstances that led up to this shooting are still under investigation. There is an increased law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation continues.
