One person killed in Beaufort apartment shooting

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTOC) - One person is dead after a shooting at the Cross Creek Apartments in Beaufort.

According to the Beaufort Police Department, officers were dispatched to Cross Creek Apartments for a report of shots fired around 2:30 AM Sunday morning.

Once officers arrived, they found a victim who had been shot. Officers gave aid until EMS arrived and took the victim to a local hospital, where the victim later died.

WTOC is on the scene and says Beaufort Police, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Port Royal Police are all present.
