One person injured in Varnville shooting

VARNVILLE S.C. (WTOC) - One person is hurt after a shooting in Varnville.

According to the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting at the intersection of Hickory Hill Road and Two Sisters Ferry Road in Varnville around 4:00 P.M Friday night.

The sheriff’s office says shots were fired from one car toward another, and one person inside one of the cars was shot and taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The shooting is under investigation. The sheriff’s office says there is no ongoing threat to the community.
