One person detained after firing at deputies in Jasper County
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) — Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to a situation near the Rivers Hill area Thursday evening.
Deputies issued a warning to residents in the area to avoid the location while deputies responded to a situation involving an armed person Wednesday night.
According to JCSO, the man fired shots at law enforcement and ran off into the woods off Beaver Dam Road.
JCSO deputies found the person and transported them to a medical center for evaluation.
