One displaced after house fire closes road in Bluffton
BLUFFTON, S.C. (WTOC) - Simmonsville Road was shut down in Bluffton earlier today as crews worked to extinguish a residential structure fire. The road is now back open.
WTOC spoke to officials familiar with the matter who said the fire is located at a residential structure on 162 Simmonsville Road. One individual has been displaced by the fire, but they are currently safe.
Red Cross has arrived to provide assistance to the resident, Bluffton Fire says.

According to the Bluffton Township Fire District, the road was closed around 2:20 p.m. this afternoon. The fire which is now out, prompted a full response from the fire district.
“Please avoid the area to allow first responders to access hydrants and work the incident,” Bluffton Fire District said.
