O.C. Welch offers reward for information on St. Helena Island shooters

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - One local businessman is offering money for any information which leads to the arrest of the people who killed four and shot at least 16 others at Willie’s in St. Helena Island on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

According to a post on Facebook, local business leader O.C. Welch III is offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the St. Helena Island shooters.

“$5,000 reward money for information to arrest the shooters that shot 20 people and killed four in Beaufort County,” Welch III writes. “Call O.C. direct at 842-288-0101″

O.C. Welch III has a long history of offering rewards to help obtain information about local crimes.

Earlier this year, he offered a reward to help find those responsible for the Oglethorpe Mall shooting.

In 2023, he offered $10,000 for information to help solve a 2018 cold case.
