Goodline’s mother spoke with WTOC back in 2023.

“He basically walked down the street to get his oldest son some snacks from the corner store, four streets down from where we live, and he was murdered,” Kristian Jackson, Gooddine’s mother said.

The Chatham County Police Department said it did not appear to be random.

“It appeared to be somewhat of an ambush. It’s obviously very concerning. It was a targeted attack. The criminal investigations division has put a lot of time, energy, and effort into this case in the last seven days,” Chief Hadley said at the time.
