Multi-agency operation seizes 1,700 fentanyl pills in South Georgia
ALMA, Ga. (WTOC) - Two Alma residents were arrested on December 3, 2025, after a multi-agency narcotics investigation led to the seizure of approximately 1,700 fentanyl pills and methamphetamine, according to the Bacon County Sheriff’s Office.
The Bacon County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Alma Police Department and Georgia State Patrol to assist the Drug Enforcement Administration in the operation.
17-year-old William Sincere McMorris, of Alma, was arrested after attempting to flee in a vehicle during the investigation. After a brief pursuit, Bacon County says Georgia State Patrol officers stopped the vehicle and took McMorris into custody without incident.

Officers recovered approximately 1,700 fentanyl pills weighing 249 grams from the vehicle. McMorris was transported to the Bacon County Jail on traffic-related charges, with additional narcotic charges pending.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at 132 Edgewood Drive, where they found approximately 8.7 grams of methamphetamine. 24-year-old Tykeem Shamad Brinson, also of Alma, was arrested at the location and transported to the Bacon County Jail.
Brinson will be charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

“This was a significant amount of fentanyl that these men and women prevented from entering our community,” Sheriff Andy Batten said. “We will never know how many lives were saved by their hard work. We remain committed to fighting the illegal narcotics problem that plagues not just our community, but every community.”
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team also assisted in the operation.
