Mother, daughter in shock after car slams into their business in Allenhurst

ALLENHURST, Ga. (WTOC) - A mother and daughter are in shock after a vehicle crashed into their business.

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Christopher Ashdown, Troopers were dispatched to a call early Sunday morning of a vehicle striking the Allenhurst post office located on the corner of West Oglethorpe Highway and Dunlevie Road.

When Troopers arrived, they found two people in a 2025 Hyndai Elantra that was heavily damaged after crashing into a building. Both the driver and passenger were transported to the hospital where their condition is unknown.

The vehicle crashed into a business owned by Katamara Frasier and her daughter, Kami Anders.

GSP says the driver of the Elantra was traveling westbound on west Oglethorpe Highway when it left the roadway striking a power pole and hitting the building.

Troopers say 27-year-old driver, from Ludowici, is facing charges.

The GSP Specialized Reconstruction Team was called out to investigate the accident due to the possibility the passenger sustaining serious injuries.
