Mayor asks GBI to review possible financial irregularities in Reidsville

REIDSVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - Reidsville Mayor Vickie Nail recently asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to review information concerning “potential financial irregularities and possible mismanagement of funds” within the city during fiscal years 2021 through 2024.

In a statement, Nail said the request is intended to ensure the facts are reviewed “thoroughly, independently, and professionally,” adding that protecting the integrity of local government and maintaining public trust “must remain our highest priority.”

Nail said she would not comment on specific details while authorities examine the information, but said the city will fully cooperate with any inquiry and will continue conducting day-to-day business.
