Manhunt underway in Screven County after suspect flees traffic stop
SCREVEN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Screven County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who fled from a traffic stop.
Law enforcement has increased its presence near Ford Road and Branch Road in Screven County, according to a social media post.
The sheriff’s office clarified the man they are searching for is not an escaped inmate, contrary to claims circulating on social media.
Screven County deputies, Georgia DNR and the Georgia State Patrol are searching the area for the suspect.
