Man arrested after shots fired during road rage incident in Yemassee
YEMASSEE, SC. (WTOC) - One man has been arrested after shots were fired during a road rage incident.
According to the Yemassee Police Department’s social media, three vehicles were involved in a road rage incident on I-95 Saturday.
Officials say one of the drivers, identified as Angelo Gardner, of St. Helena, exited his vehicle and fired shots, injuring a passenger inside another vehicle. The passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Yemassee Police say the rapid response from their officers, Hampton County 911, Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, and Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, helped them locate the suspect.
Gardner was arrested for attempted murder and is being held at the Hampton County Detention Center.
