Man arrested after fatal Hardeeville shooting
HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WTOC) - Jasper County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Hardeeville.
Deputies responded to a shooting on Old Charleston Highway on Monday, according to a Jasper County Sheriff’s Office press release.
When deputies arrived, they found an adult male victim dead inside a garage with multiple gunshot wounds.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested Duane Loren Bentley Jr. He has been charged with the following:
- Murder
- Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
