Major crash on Hwy 17 closes all directions of traffic, hospitalizes four
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - There has been a major crash on Hwy. 17 at Smith’s Crossing.
In a social media post, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle fled at speeds over 105 mph before crashing.
Four men are being transported to the hospital. The JCSO has requested the South Carolina Highway Patrol Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
Multiple charges are pending, the JCSO says.
All directions of traffic are currently blocked. Travelers are advised to use alternate routes and expect significant delays.
