Long County warns of fire danger amid storm risk
LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) -The Long County Fire Department & Emergency Management Agency issued a high to very high fire danger rating Sunday as storms are expected to move through the area.
Fire officials say any fire that is burning could quickly get out of control with the expected wind conditions. They warned that burning during the storms could lead to an outbreak of wildfires.
Officials urged residents to stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings.
