Long County Animal Control cites staffing shortages for change in hours open to public
LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Long County Animal Control said they are changing their hours due to staffing shortages.
Until further notice, Long County Animal Control will only be open to the public from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Animal control officials say all calls will be handled in the order they are received. Officials tell callers to leave a detailed messaged if your call is not answered, and say calls will be returned as staffing permits.
“Do not call after hours unless the situation is a true emergency,” requests Long County Animal Control. “We appreciate the public’s understanding as we continue to serve Long County, the City of Ludowici, and Fort Stewart with limited personnel.”
After 5 p.m., all emergencies must be reported to Emergency Services by calling 911. Officials ask residents not to call after hours unless the situation is a true emergency.
