SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Jazz Festival was in full swing on September 20, 2025, and Forsyth Park was filled with jazz enthusiasts enjoying all different styles of the genre.

The 44th annual Savannah Jazz Festival kicked off Friday, September 19, with four different bands performing for free.

That party continued into Saturday, with eight different bands playing, ranging from traditional jazz to contemporary.

WTOC spoke to multiple attendees on the scene, asking them what they thought of this year’s jazz festival.

“The music is just groovin’ like always, like it’s just a good time in Savannah,” Anthony Barbara said.

“It’s just amazing, and it’s so nice, the atmosphere is everything,” said Lula Wilson. “The music has been wonderful so far, so I’m really enjoying it today. It’s great to see all the people that showed up today.”

Many attendees were impressed by the huge turnout and are happy the community came together to show support.

“I love the unity, its the spirit of unity the nation needs now more than ever, I absolutely love this, its a vibe,” Sharon Simpson said.

Families, friends, and neighbors all came out to enjoy the atmosphere, which included tons of food trucks out at Forsyth Park.

Zack and Tonya Wilson said, “It feels exciting, we can come out here and enjoy ourselves, and eat good food, and have laughter and hear good great music.”

The Savannah Jazz Festival wraps up on September 21.
