Locals celebrate the 36th annual Brooklet Peanut Festival
BROOKLET, Ga. (WTOC) - On Saturday, September 20, 2025, attendees came out in droves to celebrate the 36th annual Brooklet Peanut Festival.
The celebrations featured a parade, arts and crafts, amusement vendors, food, and, of course, tons and tons of peanuts.
The Brooklet Peanut Festival also featured live entertainment from bands as well as tractor races.
WTOC was at the peanut festival and spoke to attendees about how they were enjoying the festivities and, more important, the peanuts.
“Well, we really came out because I’m a boiled peanuts lover and I just wanted to try the different flavors of peanuts today,” Latoya Youmans said.
“If you like something softer instead of a roasted peanut, its a little hard, boiled peanuts are a little softer.” Christopher Durden said, “But, they’re just delicious man, I don’t even know how to explain it.”
Maddie Frost said, “It’s a craze down here. People love them. Hence, the peanut festival. I think our overall message here is, ‘eat more peanuts.’”
